<title>YOU&#039;RE NEVER TOO OLD TO REALISE YOUR DREAMS
My wife and I were recently invited to participate in a film called Hanging Up the Stick.

The basis of the story is that you are never too old to realise a lifelong ambition and revisit the good times.

The following story illustrates my life, a portfolio career that included advertising, estate agency, property development, TV and stage presenting, and being a published author.

This is how I achieved my ambitions and continue to do so.

I hope you enjoy it and find it inspirational and a spur to revisit your dreams.

FROM TRAGEDY TO FULFILMENT
From a young age, I wanted to be an actor and perform on the silver screen. But it was never an option.

Sadly, growing up, I didn’t have the luxury of attending drama school and pursuing my dream.

My father died when I was ten. By age 12, I was out earning a living to help Mum keep the lights on.

However, the flame of ambition never went out, and later in life, I found a way to make my dream a reality by being a background artist, commonly known as an extra.

I signed up with a few agencies, and soon, I was acting alongside A-list stars like Kenneth Brannagh, Sean Connery, Julia Roberts, and Hugh Grant.

I’ve appeared in blockbuster films, music videos, soap operas, TV dramas, and commercials. I was even the face of a baker on M&#038;S ciabatta bread. But that’s another story.

This led to a turn of events that I didn’t see coming: a career as a television presenter. For 16 years, I was a guest presenter on QVC, selling £ millions for major brands and teaching other guest presenters to do the same.

I specialised in Christmas gifts and became known as Mr. Christmas. I built a loyal fan base, and my fans would send me clothing in the post.

Not their knickers, but waistcoats. The waistcoat was my signature; my fans would send me beautiful designs they’d made, and I’d wear them on the show.

As a trainer, I helped other guest presenters prepare for their slots, including some celebrities. My favourite was working with Nigella Lawson to launch a range of cookware in the US.

Today, I continue to act. My wife and I recently appeared in a short film, and I still do extra work.

It is a thriving industry that anyone of any age can participate in, especially people my age, as we’re a large and growing demographic.</title>
