Round 3 of the 6Nations is where belief either hardens or wobbles. This year in particular as everyone predicted a grand slam play off match on 14th March in Paris between us and England. Now the reality is that we are the only team that can make this Grand Slam and the pressure is suddenly off for everyone else. We need to channel that “Bok” spirit and make it a good tournament for ourselves.

While Wales find themselves staring at a wooden spoon unless they produce something special, Italy’s team continue to grow in confidence, no longer the side anyone treats as a routine fixture. Facing this inspired Italian team this weekend will not be an easy game for us, especially as they will be looking to cause an upset against us.

Across the fixtures today, the styles clash in the way only this competition manages. England will be looking to regain their power and territorial game against Ireland who themselves are in need of reimposing their skills after losing to us on the 5th and coming so very close to losing at home to Italy. (Come on Ireland!)

Scotland go to Wales, hopefully with the confidence to win and prove that they have more than just the Culcutta game as their only objective during this tournament.

What makes Round 3 so compelling is the sense that every match almost carries a double weight. A win now is not just four points on the table (5 for w; it is momentum, belief, and the right to start talking about silverware if your team is playing for the Triple Crown. A loss is not just a setback; it is pressure, noise, and a week of questions. Players feel it, coaches feel it, and supporters absolutely feel it.

Enjoy the matches everyone and here’s hoping there are no injuries !
