But at the end of the day, what you see is the polished sportsman and today is about his birthday. A birthday often carries different meanings for people, depending on their personal beliefs, cultural background, and life experiences and off the field; he is human, although many who have played against him would potentially disagree… !
A birthday is a reminder of our existence and the journey we have taken so far. It’s an opportunity to reflect on personal growth, challenges, and accomplishments as well as the year ahead and I am sure he will pause at some point today during Captain’s run to think back on his life to date.
The next challenge will come tomorrow as we face the All Blacks – fais nous vibrer !!
