  • Community, Free Lifetime Membership, Residential Retreat, Talking, Meditation, Group therapy, Healing trauma, Suicide Prevention

The Save A Warrior UK programme is a comprehensive initiative designed to support veterans and first responders who are grappling with mental health challenges, particularly those related to PTSD and trauma. This programme offers a unique, holistic approach to healing, free of medication and drugs, and is provided at no cost to the participants.

The core of the programme is a 72-hour retreat, which provides an immersive and transformative experience. It is led by trained alumni of Save A Warrior, who have firsthand experience with the challenges faced by attendees. This retreat is crafted to create a safe and supportive environment where participants can address their trauma, learn coping mechanisms, and connect with others who understand their experiences.

Following the retreat, participants are enrolled in a 500-day support programme. This extended support includes ongoing resources, mentorship, and community support to ensure participants continue to benefit from the programme long after the retreat has concluded.

The programme is specifically tailored for individuals aged 18 and older who have served in the UK Armed Forces, Police, or Fire Service, and it is particularly supportive of veterans from conflicts such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Northern Ireland, and the Falklands War. It is also designed to assist those who have experienced trauma, abuse, or moral injury.

In addition to the main programme, Save A Warrior UK engages in various initiatives like the #1MillionMilesProject campaign, public speaking seminars, and a podcast series to raise awareness and generate funds to support its cause. Through these efforts, the organisation aims to amplify its impact and provide even greater support to those in need within the UK.
