Inspired by a blast from the past on the way home from the airport this morning:
There are a few tracks that music lovers will recognise as soon as they start playing, whether they are fans or not, and I would list this one in my top ten of iconic intros.
Music has an incredible ability to bring back memories, some of which we would prefer to keep hidden such as the favourite song of a partner with whom we have recently parted. Others remind us of balmy summer days after exams were over or that song that made everyone get up and dance to at the club.
