As you sit somewhere reading this, please know that it’s only got to this point thanks to one of the mountains in my life.
We first met via email, introduced by a client in China who we were both working for and it was obvious from day one that he was someone who could walk the talk. I can’t tell you how great it is to collaborate with someone you get on with, who delivers and above all who is there when the chips are down.
He soon became my “go to” person for all things web related and has taught me so much along the way. He’s brutally honest, but always precedes any criticism with the phrase “and I say this with love”; it’s refreshing and I accept what he says because he’s been in business a long time and I know he wants the best for me and this community.
He switches in a moment from web designer to consultant and has over the past year guided me on drawing out what hopefully will make this site work for people and become something that we are all glad to be a part of.
Maybe it helps that he is a Brit, albeit he’s lived in the USA for a long time; he loves “coming home” as he calls it. Away from work topics, we chat about everything from trains to AI, usually while he is brewing up his morning cuppa.
It isn’t often that I meet a strong person, but one thing I have learnt is that mountains don’t rise without earthquakes.
So here’s a big thank you to my brother from another mother; I would not be here without your help and support.
Likewise I hope that this community can become something you all can come to rely upon; through the good times and the bad times. We want to help you when you need it; we also love a bit of banter!
Who are the people who have been your mountains in life?
