There’s something truly magical about being near the sea. It’s interesting how so many of us have our “go-to” places to unplug and recharge, and more often than not, they involve water or the sea. I know exactly where mine is—a small pebble beach not far from where our summer place used to be. I loved sitting there, watching the gentle waves caress the pebbles and hearing that unique low, hollow sound as they shifted against each other.

The scene is so vivid in my mind: the calm sea stretching out, the occasional soft jingle of a buoy’s bell being rocked by the waves, and on full moon nights, the shimmer of moonlight dancing on the water. The moon wasn’t directly in front of the beach but slightly off to the side, so instead of a straight reflection, there was this mesmerizing, subtle glow.

I often found myself going to this place in my mind during challenging times, allowing myself to hear, see, smell, and feel those sensations all over again. It became my sanctuary. On one visit, I even recorded a video to help me reconnect with it more easily whenever I needed to.
