Tonight’s Question was:
What are your tips for when your business isn’t progressing?
William – three phone calls a day for both businesses.
15 a week, 60 a month, 170 a year
How will they find out who you are / about your business if you don’t put your self out there?
Santa – Be persistent and consistent, it’s a numbers game – not everyone but someone will need your services – power of networking, 1:1’s – create relationships.
Yvette – Sometimes you just have to have time out for yourself – look at yourself from the other side of the pie (client).
Caroline – Touching your business in some small way every day, it can be different things, events, conversations, that you haven’t thought about it. Listen for people talking about the problems you can help with. What can I say in this conversation that will help my business move forward.
*Get a name for someone to speak to / contact details (compliments slip) on cold outreach in person – go on Linkedin, find out what you have in common with them and use that to begin a conversation.
Charles – Depends on the problem and the business – figure out what the next step / next level / problem is.
*Collaborate with other people, they can also help sell your business
Bis – 1. Find out who as been successful in your industry – get tips or guidance from their journey. 2. Find a coach or mentor – to find out what is not working. 3. learn and train – increase activities e.g phone calls / contact. Put yourself in the shoes of the potential customer – building relationships / trust. No matter how small a thing it is, done repeatedly it can help.
*don’t get discouraged knocking on the door first time – repetitive conversations – 7 touch points (Sm says 32 touch points)
Gemma – Things I have release lately – advertising and publicising in the right places. Being in the right place. Using the national days. Do something else that can be an extension of what you do – e.g. health and wellbeing magazine.
Paul – Take action:
Hayley – Are you looking at the problem or symptom? Who has your clients before you and after you? Are you sitting within your comfort zone – or uncomfortable zone.
*Zoom call to make calls together – all of us are scared to have an accountability buddy
